For the inner strength he developed having to deal with discrimination on a regular basis (what would the correct term be? lycanthropism-ism?) and for the loyalty he inspired in others (Sirius endured FLEAS for him fer chrissake!), my favorite character is Remus Lupin. Plus, he's a Pisces (according to Harry Potter Wiki). He rocks.

It's really hard to choose 1 favourite character. Jo put a lot of effort into each character and they're all so intriguing and amazing. However, if I were to choose one, it would probably be Severus Snape. I guess I'm just a big fan of those mysterious type characters and I find him particularly charismatic. He is one of those characters where you like him sometimes and dislike him at other times. He has the ability to spark different emotions inside of you. At the beginning we had some distaste towards him but as the story progressed and we heard more about his background story, we felt compassion, such as when he was taunted by the Marauders. As a Slytherin, he was tolerant of muggleborns..he loved Lily (which is quite rare for Slytherins). Like Harry said, he was probably one of the bravest men in the book. He worked as a double agent, while risking his life. And finally, he was the half blood prince! He was an intelligent student and even invented his own spells. He does have the ability to spark some humour, such as when he took points off Gryffindor when Hermione answered a question not directed at her!

Snape is full of secrets. Jo really put a lot of thought into him!

My favorite character is Ron. I have always had a softspot for "sidekick" characters. Poor Ron is always struggling to be heard in places where he may e hard to compare to others - at home he is a middle child amongst many, and at school his best friends are either brilliant or famous. Although Ron is usually battling some inner demon, he is normally good for a laugh and is always loyal. (oh and I have a thing for red heads ) my twitter is doremarieee

My favorite Harry Potter character is Neville Longbottom! He has always shown great courage from book 1 all the way to the end. He wanted to do his parents proud and prove that even the "not so cool kids" can be a hero. I also love that he always stood up for what was right. I would want to be Neville's friend because I know he would always be there for me if I needed him.

My favorite character is Ron Weasley because, even though he lives under the shadow of Harry and his brothers a little bit, he knows that what he's doing makes a big difference. He's also very funny, creating great comic relief throughout tough times in the series. Weasley is our King!

My favorite character is Hermione. She is smart just like me. She is a great role model and leader. Hermione is very strong willed and determined. I love that she shows everyone that being a know it all is a good thing sometimes. Without her smarts and leadership skills, Ron and Harry would have never succeeded in finding the Horcruxes and defeating Voldemort.

My favorite character is Hermione, because I feel like I can relate to her. She's determined and hard-working and always gets perfect grades, but she's also bossy and somewhat annoying. She is loyal to Harry and Ron throughout the whole book and helps Harry out of loads of sticky situations. Hermione and Ron's relationship was also incredibly cute and hilarious, and they're my favorite HP pair.

My favorite character is Harry. I bought the 1st book as soon as it arrived in our area. I fell for the baby Harry immediately. As he grew, he showed a lot of courage; never letting anything stop him from moving forward. He was challenged so many times in so many ways (including friendship), but his determination to continue on is a lesson to learn. He's a friend everyone wants to have.

My favorite Harry Potter character is Professor Snape ;D Because you never really know what Severus Snape is thinking and can only judge him by his actions. Judging him is tough to do because you only see glimpses of his character, and those glimpses are confusing. I love the fact how he has been on the right side and we never really got to know about it. He did it all because of love. Turns out he isn't a baddy at all.

My favourite character in Harry Potter is Hermione. She is so smart and kind and always has good intentions at heart. She is very loyal to her friends and has saved/helped Ron and Harry many times from the 'Alohamora' charm to open the door on the third floor in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone to putting up charms around them to protect them wherever they camped in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and everywhere inbetween. She can sometimes get frustrated but that makes me feel like I can relate to her even more, especially in the first book/film where she finds it difficult to fit in and in the sixth book/film where she feels hurt about the relationship between Ron and Lavender, it really shows that she is vunerable and has feelings and wants to be loved like everyone else. In both the films and the books she is beautiful on the inside and out, I love her!
